Obituary


CHATHAM - Ethel was born, worked and lived in Chatham her whole life. She married at 19 to Warren Porter and they had five children; David, Steven, Kitty, Danny, and Timothy.
Ethel always worked, first as a waitress for 45 years and then as a child care provider in her daughter's family day care for 21 years. She retired at age 86 with the early signs of dementia which she suffered from the rest of her life. Family was first in her life and we will miss her always.

Ethel is predeceased by her husband Warren and sons Steven and Danny. She is survived by her children; David and Sandi Porter, Kitty Belliveau and David Lauretto, Timothy and Tanya Porter; daughter-in-law, Janet Porter; ten grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to VNA of Cape Cod or Hope Hospice.
Visiting hours will be held from 3p-6p on Sunday, December 4th at Nickerson Funeral Home, Chatham, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am on Monday December 5th at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Chatham. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
