Mary R. (Hanlon) Porciello, 92, of Harwich Port, MA and formerly of Clinton, MA passed away on March 5 ,2015. She was born August 18,1922, Worcester, MA the daughter of the late John W. and Julia J. Hanlon. She is predeceased by her late husband James P. Porciello, son Peter J. Porciello, brother John W. Hanlon and sister Lourdes Johnson.
Mary graduated from South High School and Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. To further her nursing career she attended Assumption College, Clark University and the University of Maryland earning certificates for Supervisor and Administrative...

Mary R. (Hanlon) Porciello, 92, of Harwich Port, MA and formerly of Clinton, MA passed away on March 5 ,2015. She was born August 18,1922, Worcester, MA the daughter of the late John W. and Julia J. Hanlon. She is predeceased by her late husband James P. Porciello, son Peter J. Porciello, brother John W. Hanlon and sister Lourdes Johnson.
Mary graduated from South High School and Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. To further her nursing career she attended Assumption College, Clark University and the University of Maryland earning certificates for Supervisor and Administrative Skills in Nursing. She worked at Worcester City Hospital in the Operating Room, Staff Nurse at The U.S. Army Hospital, Fort Devens, MA, Industrial Nurse at Ray-O-Vac Co. and retired as Field Supervisor in the Division of Long Term Health Care, Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health in 1977.
Mary was devoted to her family, enjoyed traveling, Italian cooking, knitting and was an avid Red Sox and N.E. Patriots fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Young and husband John, Stephanie Porciello (widow of son Peter), sisters Patricia McMorrow and Elizabeth Prenier. Her grandchildren, Margot Raffenetti and husband Joseph, Jack Young and wife Lidiette, Jamie Young and wife Amy, Jasa Porciello and husband John Petruschke, Ruben Lemelin and wife Andrea. Great-grandchildren, Cole, Jake and Tyler Raffenetti, Camden, Ryder and Pearl Young, Dinah and Ava Lemelin.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at St. John's Church in Clinton prior to the 10 A.M. Liturgy of the Word, on Holy Saturday, April 4, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Family Pantry of Cape Cod, 133 Queen Ann Road, Harwich. MA 02645.
