Dr. Roseann Stephens of West Chatham, MA passed away on June 16th. Roseann was the beloved wife of Timothy Stephens for over 50 years. A devoted and loving wife and mother, she is survived by her five children: Michael, Betsey, Melanie and Jenny Stephens, Molly Bompane, her granddaughter Amelia Bompane and two sons in law: David Bompane and Lee Dennis.

Raised in Lowell, MA, Roseann was a lifelong advocate of education and was extremely proud of her graduate work at Harvard and her PhD from Boston College on student empowerment. Her career included time...

Dr. Roseann Stephens of West Chatham, MA passed away on June 16th. Roseann was the beloved wife of Timothy Stephens for over 50 years. A devoted and loving wife and mother, she is survived by her five children: Michael, Betsey, Melanie and Jenny Stephens, Molly Bompane, her granddaughter Amelia Bompane and two sons in law: David Bompane and Lee Dennis.

Raised in Lowell, MA, Roseann was a lifelong advocate of education and was extremely proud of her graduate work at Harvard and her PhD from Boston College on student empowerment. Her career included time as an elementary school teacher, a piano teacher and an adjunct professor at Boston College. She studied the piano from a young age and evolved into an accomplished classical pianist.

Roseann was an avid traveler. Among her many trips, she, Tim and the family enjoyed summers at their cottage in Canada. A patron of the arts, she loved the symphony, theater, museums and public television. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and sincerity were second to none. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM on Tuesday, June 20 at Nicholson Funeral Home at 87 Crowell Road in Chatham MA. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 11 AM at Nicholson Funeral Home in Chatham, MA. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com
